The theme for the 2000 Panetta Lecture Series was “The U.S. Presidency – Preparing of the 21st Century.”
The series examined the role of our nation’s leader and the complex path that leads to the presidency. The group of speakers featured former candidates, including the first female candidate for the vice presidency from a major party, reporters, and a popular third party governor.
