The Panetta Institute’s 2015 survey showed United States college students interested in a program of two years of national service in exchange for grants or financial assistance to help pay for college.

In addition, students also express a heightened concern about the challenges their generation will face at the international level. The survey found a significant increase in the number of students who say the problems their generation will face will be mostly international rather than national in scope.  About 43 percent said international issues will dominate – up from 30 percent just a year earlier.
